Dear Friends and Supporters of the Glastonbury Occult Conference:
It is with great reluctance that we have to announce that this year’s Conference will not take place. We persisted as long as we could, hoping that travel restrictions, both national and international would be eased. Sadly, despite the excellent news about several vaccines becoming available in the next month or two, there is still far too much uncertainty about travel and social distancing to go ahead. The funds already paid were ring-fenced, and a full refund will be paid to everyone. Some of you very kindly offered not to take up a refund if we had to cancel (and to carry the ticket price over to the next Conference) which we will do, and thank you for your generosity. We’re aiming to keep the speakers and line-up the same (or nearly so) and re-schedule for February 2022.
On Sunday afternoon we have an extended talk/workshop with John Crow, on working with ancestors and healing ancestral trauma. Drawing on his work at the Crossbones Graveyard in London (http://crossbones.org.uk/) and many years in ritual/theatre John and his partner Katy will be introducing their work with the outcast dead and socially marginalised, and developing that work in local, inner, and outer contexts. We are delighted to be hosting John and Katy in what promises to be a transformative and innovative workshop.
Our Keynote Speaker for 2021 will be Professor Ronald Hutton speaking on "Goddesses of Sex and Violence".
The Occult Conference is delighted to announce that Shani Oates will be speaking at the Conference in 2021.
